This Privacy Policy explains how Girdharroll (“Girdharroll”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operator of the website girdharroll.in, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you browse our store, create an account or place an order. It is written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them, and—for visitors from the European Economic Area and United Kingdom—the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, mobile number, delivery and billing address, gift messages and personalisation text, and anything you write to us through our contact, corporate or influencer forms.
- Account information: if you create an account, your name, email and a password. On girdharroll.in account details are stored in your own browser so that you can log in on that device.
- Order information: the products you buy, order value, chosen shipping and payment method and order history.
- Payment information: we do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords. Prepaid orders are paid through a secure link issued by a licensed payment aggregator, which processes your payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Device and usage data: basic technical information such as browser type, pages viewed and referring site. Analytics or marketing cookies are only used if you consent to them (see our GDPR & Cookie Policy).
How we use your information
- To process, confirm, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and to send order and delivery updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To personalise products exactly as you requested (for example names printed on mugs or passport covers).
- To respond to questions, returns, exchanges and refund requests.
- To send newsletters and offers—only if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by writing to us.
- To prevent fraud, keep our website secure and comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Legal basis for processing
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, to perform a contract with you (fulfilling your order), to comply with legal obligations (for example GST invoicing) and for our legitimate interests in running and improving our store, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Sharing your information
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Courier and logistics partners, so they can deliver your parcel (name, address, phone number).
- Payment aggregators and banks, for prepaid orders and refunds.
- Service providers that host our website or send our emails, under confidentiality obligations.
- Government authorities, where required by law or a valid legal order.
Data retention
We keep order and invoice records for as long as required under Indian tax law (currently up to eight years). Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Other personal data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct or update it, to request its erasure, to withdraw consent at any time, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. EEA/UK residents additionally have the rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and may complain to their local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email support@girdharroll.in with the subject “Privacy request”. We respond within 30 days.
Information stored in your browser (cart, wishlist, saved address, account and order history on this device) can be erased at any time by clearing your browser's site data for girdharroll.in.
Security
Our website is served over HTTPS. We limit access to personal data to people who need it to fulfil your order and require our partners to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our store is intended for users aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use girdharroll.in with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Grievance officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, complaints about the handling of your data can be sent to our Grievance Officer at support@girdharroll.in (subject: “Grievance”). We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on our homepage.
